The seminar, conducted in three states in Malaysia—Melaka, Selangor and Penang—showcased solutions and technologies of selected Danish companies. These Danish companies, who have a market in Malaysia, have embarked on several projects in Copenhagen in the effort to create sustainable solutions for the urban city. Some of these companies include Danfoss, DONG Energy and Ramboll, alongside DHI, who have sent their representatives to share their knowledge in the different areas of expertise.

As one of the companies who have been invited, DHI has sent three of our experts, Felix Ku, Cheng Chi Wei and Dr. Jacob H. Jensen, to share with Malaysian state and local authorities the technology and solutions to some of the projects we have undertaken, primarily in Malaysia and around the region.
Amongst DHI projects that have been shared during the seminar was the construction of the new Amager Beach Park in Copenhagen that has been successful in mitigating the lack of wave exposure and eliminating erosion and flood occurrence. This project is particularly relevant to the Malaysian context given the similar conditions of many Malaysian beaches.
With the help of the solutions and expertise shared by Danish companies during the seminar, authorities and municipalities of Malaysia are better prepared and informed of possible solutions to be implemented and technologies that can be utilised.
